Strong public education and access to resources like broadband internet are keys to Wisconsin’s future. Our public schools need to be fully funded so our children can thrive, our teachers can have the resources they need, and families know their children are receiving a high quality education.

We cannot live, much less have quality of life, if our water is poisoned, our land unable to grow food, our air too polluted to breathe, and our climate too warm to support life. I will fight for environmental policy that protects the natural resources of the region, advocate for clean energy and access to clean water, and work with our major industries, like agriculture, for solutions to climate change that preserve District 43.

Our farmers need support at the federal, state, and local levels so that farmers have the resources they need to thrive. The state needs to prioritize resources for our farmers to increase a farmer’s ability to stay competitive in an ever changing economic environment. We must work to propose forward looking policies that can support our farmers and our farming legacy.

I will fight to expand medicaid, access to dental care, mental health support, and a woman’s right to make her own decisions about her healthcare. Now more than ever, our community needs support for first responders. I will work tirelessly to take care of our frontline workers who help us in our most difficult times.

Everyone deserves quality, affordable housing. No one should have to make choices between everyday necessities, like food and medicine, and paying their rent. Republicans have wasted millions of taxpayer dollars that could have funded affordable housing, public education, and broadband internet.

I hear your anguish. I feel your rage. As a mother to a daughter and as a daughter with a mother and grandmother who fought for my rights, I am devastated. But, I am also resolved to fight to legalize abortion in Wisconsin. I am a pro-choice candidate. We must fight every day for you and your children and your loved ones to have their fundamental right to privacy and bodily autonomy.
